KiezExplorer brings Neukölln’s stories from 2010–2012 back to iPhone and iPad: the original neighbourhood map, 38 archived places, four walks with 42 stops, 13 street photographs, a documentary and ten Survival Guide lessons. The app and its content are in German and English.

For a technical issue, include your device model, iOS or iPadOS version, app version and the steps that led to the problem. Screenshots can help; leave out private information and your precise location unless they are needed to explain the issue.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The original Neukölln map, places, photographs, walking tours, guide and videos are included in the app. The worldwide background map and external websites need an internet connection. You can dismiss the map’s offline notice with its × button.
Are these places still open?
This is a historical collection from 2010–2012, not a current travel directory. Some venues have closed or changed. Addresses, websites, prices and walking routes may be out of date. Check current conditions before following a route. The renewed app does not include the original live events calendar.
Is location access required?
No. You can browse the whole archive without it. If you allow location access, the map can show your current position while you use the app. You can change this permission at any time in your device’s privacy settings.
How does the photo presentation work?
Open a gallery photo and rotate your device to landscape. Swipe to change photographs and tap once to show or hide the controls.
Where are my saved places and tour progress?
They are stored on your device and remain available after you close the app. There is no account or app-operated synchronization service. Deleting the app also deletes its local data; device backups are managed separately through your device settings.

Funktioniert die App offline?
Ja. Die originale Neukölln-Karte, Orte, Fotos, Rundgänge, der Guide und die Videos sind in der App enthalten. Die weltweite Hintergrundkarte und externe Websites benötigen Internet. Den Offline-Hinweis auf der Karte kannst du mit × schließen.
Gibt es die Orte noch?
Die Sammlung dokumentiert 2010–2012 und ist kein aktueller Reiseführer. Manche Orte sind geschlossen oder verändert. Adressen, Websites, Preise und Wege können veraltet sein. Prüfe die aktuellen Verhältnisse, bevor du einem Rundgang folgst. Der ursprüngliche Live-Veranstaltungskalender ist in der erneuerten App nicht enthalten.
Muss ich meinen Standort freigeben?
Nein. Du kannst das gesamte Archiv ohne Standortzugriff verwenden. Mit deiner Erlaubnis kann die Karte während der Nutzung deine aktuelle Position anzeigen. Die Freigabe kannst du jederzeit in den Datenschutzeinstellungen deines Geräts ändern.
Wie funktioniert die Fotopräsentation?
Öffne ein Galeriefoto und drehe das Gerät ins Querformat. Wische zum Blättern und tippe einmal, um die Bedienelemente ein- oder auszublenden.
Wo werden Merkliste und Tourfortschritt gespeichert?
Auf deinem Gerät, auch nach dem Schließen der App. Es gibt weder Benutzerkonten noch einen eigenen Synchronisierungsdienst. Beim Löschen der App werden auch ihre lokalen Daten gelöscht; Geräte-Backups verwaltest du gesondert in den Geräteeinstellungen.
